Installing

  • The .exe installs for your account only and needs no admin rights. The .msi installs for every user on the machine and needs admin; it's meant for IT deployment.
  • Both installers are code-signed, with Derek Leeth as the publisher, so Windows can confirm they're genuine and unchanged. While the signature is new, SmartScreen may still warn about it: choose More info, then Run anyway.

macOS

0.7.1-beta has no macOS build. These are from TerminalLynx 0.7.0, the newest macOS release, from October 21, 2026.

Installing

  • Pick Apple Silicon for M-series Macs and Intel for older ones. Not sure? Apple menu → About This Mac.
  • .dmg: open it and drag TerminalLynx into Applications. _user.pkg: installs into ~/Applications for your account only, with no admin password.
  • The Mac app isn't signed or notarized yet, so macOS blocks it the first time. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. Signing comes once enough people use TerminalLynx on a Mac: if you do, let us know.
  • If macOS says the app is damaged, run xattr -cr ~/Applications/TerminalLynx.app (or the same path under /Applications). No sudo needed.
